about

With their 2013 debut "Back With A Vengeance", MASTERS OF DISGUISE filled the musical gap left behind by the demise of Savage Grace almost 30 years previously. Not that they consciously copied the legendary Americans, it was more a need to prevent the passion and uniqueness of the band from being forgotten. "Back With A Vengeance" was and is a furious firework display of Speed and Power, topped off with memorable melodies and numerous signs of individuality. As proof of their ability to deliver this high class metal live are their performances at several well-known festivals. Two years later the successor CD "The Savage And The Grace" was ready, building on its predecessor in classical style and which again is sure to set the pulses of speed freaks racing. MASTERS OF DISGUISE and their new album will be setting the Speed Metal front on fire with their razor-sharp riffs in 2015.

"The Savage And The Grace" is marked by furious, fast guitars and the incredibly good vocals of Alexx Stahl, whose unmistakeable voice places its own stamp on the songs. The earthy, warm, solid production gives the material a superbly rounded harmony, which deeply enhances the musical whole, especially on fast tracks such as "The Enforcer", "War Of The Gods (Part 1)" and "Heavens Fall". The guitar work is mega-tight and there is no escape from the hammering drums. Classic US Speed Metal, taken another step upwards by several typical, fast Euro-Metal characteristics make the eleven tracks a real ride through speed hell. As it its predecessor, this CD also offers a brilliant cover version. Keeping close to the original version, Flotsam And Jetsam's furiously racing "Hammerhead" is played in a compelling way by MASTERS OF DISGUISE, as though there was no tomorrow.

"The Savage And The Grace" again honours the true Speed Metal spirit of the Eighties without sounding antiquated or dusty. This album is sure to bring classic Speed Metal back into the heads and hearts of metal fans.
